From Hand to Heart

It is about time to introduce ourselves as people, not just the business we represent. Let us start with Sang, a lover of homemade tea and coffee specialities and, as this page points out, handmade products.

Hello everyone!

I'd like to share a little bit about my story. I'm Sang Pham and I am a Vietnamese who moved to Salzburg, Austria 5 years ago. Before that, I was working for 5 years in customer service at restaurants, hotels and travel agencies in Sai Gon, Vietnam.

There, I had a great chance to meet tourists from many different countries. I especially love to interact with people - and together, we exchange thoughts about culture, travelling and of course the heritage of my country.

Introducing Sang and her journey from hand to heart

After a while living in Austria, I have realized that there are so many excellent traditional or modern handmade products with natural materials, recycled or upcycled.

And as a big fan of handmade stuff, I think the products made in Vietnam deserve to be introduced to more markets all over the world. And what I can do now, is to contribute a little bit to this project by bringing them at least to Salzburg where i am living.

With the hope my country's products will be recognized more in other cities of Austria or other European countries.

My concept is searching for highly skilled small and medium workshops all over Vietnam. They could be traditional ones from the farmers or modern style from the young generation.

The thing they all have in common is, they craft beautiful things by hand. We make a strong statement though: We say 'NO' to cheap labour in Asia, making a fair trade for all sides with high quality products as a result.

The artists/producers are free to be creative with their minds and hands. I am proud to be the co-founder of Avanova (our importing company) and to be the first Vietnamese in Austria to import handmade quality products from her own homeland.

So ... this is the origin of our "From Hand to Heart" philosophy.
